Learning Outcomes

Students will learn about the Chain of judiciary system.

Students will learn and understand about the three tier of  judiciary and their functions 

Description Of Activity

The whole class will be divided into two groups . A cricket match will be played. 

. In each group there will be  11 numbers and remaining students will be audience ,Before starting the match rule of the match will be explained . There will be three umpires .

Teacher will play the role of third umpire  another two umpires will be chosen  

from students side  those who are not belong to any groups . Works of the umpires will be –

1.     If any kind of dispute take place during the match  umpires will solve .

2.     Review the decision .

3.     Give the right to players for raise their issues for justice

If there is a claim by one team on run out /LBW and  Ist and 2^nd Umpire  declare it .But  bating  team is not satisfy then they may appeal for the 3^rd umpire .The 3^rd umpire decision will be the final  decision. They have to accept it  .

Like our judiciary have above mentioned function. Third umpire means  Supreme court  which is the zenith of the judiciary  system. Like  a  pyramid

Variations

Remaining students will support their respective team and physically  challenged students will keep record of scores. No’s of over may be taken according to  their convenience.

 

 

Coaching Tips

Teacher will  relate the three umpires with the three tier of judiciary system and structure of  Indian courts . 

Equipment/Material Required

Arm Guards ,chest Guards ,Ball, Bats, Boundaries , caps, Helmets .powder for marking boundary
