Learning outcomes – Students will be able to learn about the erosional and depositional work of a river

Critically analyses the concept – Enable the students to describe the concept of weathering , erosion, deposition by natural forces like river, sea waves, glaciers,wind.

Description Of Activity

Name of the activity – Through a recreational game BOMBING  this topic will  describe to the students.Draw a length of 20 metres and breath of 10 metres and devide them into two equal parts which means20x5 metres. Every one metre interval will have a bowling duck pin or Indian club (mugur) for both sides and both the teams will have a ball.As soon as the coach /teacher blows the whistle the players of the both team will try to throw the opponent’s duck pins simultaneously they will try to protect their duck pins. Attacking and protecting is done at the same time,but no teams can keep their opponent’s ball in their section.The team which will be throw and lying on the ground the most number of the pins will be decleared as the winner.

Coaching Tips

Teaching Tips – Teacher will co-relate this game with the work of river, mainly erosion and depositional work. A river flows in its direction along with eroding depositing soil to form various landforms like waterfall, meander, delta. Teacher can also co-relate this game with work of ice, sea waves, wind.

Equipment/Material Required

Equipments – Lime powder, measuring tape and duckpins or Indian clubs or mugur.
