Description Of Activity

1.Curved line like path of snake can be drawn in the playground and students can be asked to run on the line till they reach the end point. They can observe their movement which is in curved path.

2.They can also hold their hands to the long rope in that path like the thin muscles of the snake connecting with the long back bone and move slowly or fast to show the movement of snake.

3. Some students can lie down and crawl like snake in the curved path.

Any of these methods can be followed for explaining the movement of snake

Variations

Students depict the movement of snake in the ground by different moving and crawling patterns

Coaching Tips

Physical education teacher along with science teacher can teach the concepts involved in the movement of snake
