Procedure:The teacher will divide the class in 5 groups of 8 students each or in groups as she may desire
.students will make 5 long jump grounds of equal length and breadth .

.The teacher will put 30 small chits in front of them and will call other group members of 1st group and will ask collect the fractions as formed by their playground partitions..the students will collect to 1/5,2/5,3/5,4/5,5/5.
.then the teacher will call other other groups to categorise all fractions into groups of same denominator
.groups collecting all the matching chits with their play ground will be given marks.
.1/7,2/7,3/7, etc.
.one group will collect the remaining chits with different denominators like 2/9,5/11,7/10
.then the teacher will explain that you have collected the FRACTIONS WITH THE same denominators are called like fractions .
