Learning Outcomes

1. The students say about the pair of lines.

2. They recognise the intersecting and non intersecting lines.

3. They can differentiate between intersecting lines and transversal.

4. They recognise and create parallel lines on graphs and with equations.

5. They calculate the angles created by parallel lines.

6. They describe the angles made by the transversal and parallel lines.

Description Of Activity

1. The students will be asked to make two lines.

2. They will be instructed to stand in such a way that they will face all four directions. From this they can understand the concept of intersecting lines.

3. Some students will be asked for 100 meter race. For this race they will draw the track. From this track they will understand the concept of parallel lines.

4. Some students will be asked to prepare a pitch for cricket match. They also asked to draw lines for crease of batsman.

5. The line of the crease cross the two lines of the pitch. From they can understand about the transversal.

Variations

1. The above activity will be repeated for making goal post area for the goalkeeper.

Coaching Tips

1. The students will be trained about race.

2. They will be taught the rules of race.

Equipment/Material Required

1. Measuring tapes, ropes, white / lime powder for drawing lines.
