Description Of Activity

Ploughing is an age old method practiced in India.In this game the entire class would be divided into two teams.The students of team 1 would be given 5 ftx 5 ft area each and a hand shovel.They have to till the soil as fast as possible and hide some small thing inside within 2 minutes. The depth of digging and time taken would be considered for selecting winner.The students of taem2 have to search the things within 2 minutes in blind folded manner.If the team 2 finds more tthan the half numbers of hidden things then they will be winner.If they finds less than half numbers of hidden things then team 1 will be winner.

Variations

1. Different shapes like square, circle, rectangles, triangles etc. can be applied for the area of ploughing.

2.More numbers of small things for hiding would increase the difficulty level.

Coaching Tips

Loosening of soil is essential for farming. It promotes proper growth of roots and seed germination. The game can be played in garden area which later can be used for plantation.

Field, small hand shovels,small things like marbles,finger ring,ludo dices,shirt buttons etc.
