1. Students will brainstorm a list of familiar sports and equipments used in the sports.
2. Students will develop a deeper understanding about breathing rate in human beings.
3. Students will practice recording observed and collected data.
4. Students will develop observation skills, collaboration and communication skills.
5. Students will be encouraged to develop team spirit and social harmony.

2. Explain that we are going to work with some of the equipments used in the sports.
3. Ask some questions like-
(a) What is breathing?
(b) What is breathing rate in human at rest position?
4. Group the students in two or three groups and ask them to measure their breathing rate individually and record it on a paper.
5. Now provide playing items like jump rope/volley ball/football to each group.
6. Ask them to play upto 15 to 20 minutes
7. Ask one group to run 100 meter race on the track.
8. Ask each member of the group to measure their breathing rate again and record it on a paper.
9. Ask the students to compare their final reading with the previous one.Is there any difference?
