Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to

1.distinguish between reticulate and parallel venation .

2.tabulate the plants based on venation.

3.applies the knowledge about venation and tries to identify the venation of  plants in the campus.

Description Of Activity

1.1.Students will make their own chest no. with the name of a plant like hibiscus,rose ,wheat etc

2.Tr. asks 20 students to stand in two teams based on the venation in such a way that Team A has reticulate venation andTeam B has parallel venation.

3.The raider has to start chanting kabbadi and the game continues as per the regular game.

4.This game helps them to choose a plant of their choice and to recollect the shape of the leaf and classify based on venation.

5..Sports benefit: This game helps to develop muscle strength,agility,coordination,flexibility,stamina,concentration

Variations

All students can take turns and participate in kabbadi game.

Coaching Tips

Physical education teachers can guide the students to play the game and science teachers can explain and tabulate based on venation.
