Activity
To enhance tennis skills such as hand-eye coordination, footwork, and racket control.
To promote agility, quick thinking, and strategic play.
To foster teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship.
Arrange the four tennis courts or squares in a square formation, ensuring each court is equal in size.
Divide players into groups of four, assigning each group to one of the four courts.
Gameplay:
Each player stands in one of the four squares, labeled A, B, C, and D.
The game begins with a player in square A serving the ball diagonally across to square C.
Players must hit the ball to another square after receiving it, ensuring it lands within the boundaries of that square.
If a player fails to return the ball to another square or hits it out of bounds, they are eliminated for that round.
The remaining players continue rallying until only one player remains.
Rotate players clockwise after each round, so everyone has a chance to play in each square.
Rules: Players must hit the ball into another square before it bounces twice.
If a player hits the ball out of bounds or fails to hit it into another square, they are eliminated for that round.
Players are not allowed to touch the ball with their hands or feet; only the racket should be used.
The last player remaining in the square wins the round.
Cooldown:
End the session with a cooldown period, including stretching exercises to prevent muscle soreness.
Safety Considerations:
Ensure players maintain safe distances and avoid collisions during gameplay.
Emphasize the importance of proper racket handling to prevent injuries.
Monitor the playing area for any hazards and address them promptly.
Speed Round: Decrease the time allowed for each rally, challenging players' reflexes and quick decision-making.
Target Practice: Set up targets within each square and award points for hitting them during rallies.
Doubles Play: Have two players from each group play as a team within each square, encouraging collaboration and communication.
Four tennis courts marked with cones or lines (or use four squares in a gymnasium if indoors).
Tennis balls (enough for each player).
Tennis rackets (one for each player).
Stopwatch or timer.
