Description Of Activity

Activity 1: Hopping Rainbow

Set-up: Arrange the 3 hoops in a straight line with a few feet of space between them. Assign each hoop a color (red, yellow, blue).

Warm-up: Play some upbeat music and have students walk, jog, and hop around freely.
Hopping Rainbow: Explain that they will be hopping through a rainbow! Demonstrate hopping on two legs. Students line up at the starting point. Call out a color (e.g., "Red!") and students hop through the red hoop. Repeat with the other colors.
Challenge: Increase difficulty by having students hop on one leg or hop backward between hoops.

Activity 2: Hopping Obstacle Course

Set-up: Create an obstacle course using cones and the 3 hoops scattered around the play area.

Hopping Challenge: Explain the course layout, highlighting the 3 hoops. Students take turns navigating the course, hopping over cones and through the hoops. Encourage them to maintain a steady hopping rhythm.
Variation: Add beanbags and have students pick them up while navigating the course, incorporating throwing and catching skills.

Activity  3: Hopping Relay Race (Cooperative)

Set-up: Divide students into teams with equal numbers. Arrange the 3 hoops in a line at the end of each team's starting zone.

Relay Race: Explain that students will work together as a team to complete the relay. The first student in each team hops to the hoops, goes through each one (in any order), then hops back and tags the next teammate. Teams continue until everyone has completed the hopping journey. Encourage cheering and teamwork.
Variation: Increase the distance between the hoops and starting lines for a more challenging race.
