Activity
Develop basic dribbling skills with one hand, improve hand-eye coordination while moving, learn to control the ball around obstacles.
Set up a simple maze using cones or markers. Students dribble a handball through the maze, using only one hand at a time (alternate hands). Encourage them to keep the ball close to their body.
Increase or decrease the spacing between cones.
Time students to see how quickly they can complete the maze without losing control.
Have students dribble with their non-dominant hand.
Emphasize pushing the ball forward with the fingertips, not slapping it.
Encourage students to look up occasionally while dribbling.
Start with a slow pace and gradually increase speed.
Handballs (one per student), cones or markers.
