Improve rhythm, timing, and full-body coordination.

Demonstrate teamwork through smooth rope turning and communication.

Description Of Activity

Double Dutch uses two long ropes turning in opposite directions.
Three main roles rotate:

Two Turners each holds one rope end and turns them in alternating directions.

One Jumper enters the ropes and skips in rhythm.

Steps:

Turners stand facing each other, ropes turning smoothly in opposite directions.

Jumper stands outside, watching the rhythm (insideoutside pattern).

When ready, the jumper enters the space between the ropes and begins skipping.

Students work on timing jumps with the rope speedlight, quick footwork.

After 1020 seconds, the jumper exits safely and roles rotate.
