Description Of Activity

  • Warm-up: Begin with basic forward and backward skating drills to warm up the muscles.

  • Practice: Have skaters practice both forward and backward crossovers on a straight line, focusing on the crossing motion and the transfer of weight.
  • Progression: Gradually increase the speed and distance of the crossovers.
  • Drill: Set up cones in a serpentine pattern and have skaters perform crossovers through the course, focusing on agility and control.
