Description Of Activity

Warm-up: Repeat the warm-up from previous lessons.
Small Jumps:
Practice small jumps off both feet, landing softly on both feet.
Focus on proper technique and landing.
One-Foot Jumps:
Practice jumping off one foot and landing on the same foot.
Focus on balance, height, and control.

Variations

Jump over obstacles.
Jump and turn 180 degrees.
Jump and land on one foot.

Coaching Tips

Encourage skaters to bend their knees upon landing to absorb the shock.
Remind skaters to keep their arms extended for balance.
Practice on a soft surface to reduce the impact.
