Improve balance and control while skating in a straight line.
Develop focus and body awareness.
Set up a straight line on the field (can use cones or a marked area). Skaters will skate slowly while maintaining balance on the line. The goal is to stay on the line for as long as possible.
Make the line longer or shorter based on the skater's skill level.
Have skaters race to see who can stay on the line the longest.
Encourage the skaters to keep their body upright and not lean forward.
Have them bend their knees slightly for better stability.
Remind them to keep their arms out for balance.
