Description Of Activity

  • Warm-up: Light jogging, arm circles, leg swings, and racket swings.
  • Backhand Rally: Divide players into pairs and have them rally, focusing on hitting consistent backhands.
  • Backhand Challenge: Set up a target on the backhand side of the court. Players should aim to hit the target with their backhand.
  • Backhand Bounce: Set up a line of cones. Players must hit the ball off the backhand side, bouncing it over the cones.

Variations

Increase the speed of the rallies.
Add spin to the ball to challenge players.
Introduce different court positions for the target practice.

Coaching Tips

Encourage players to keep their backhand side open to the ball.
