Description Of Activity

  • Grip:
    • Demonstrate the correct grip, either a conventional or a V grip.
    • Explain the importance of a relaxed grip and the correct placement of fingers.
  • Stance:
    • Demonstrate a balanced stance with feet shoulder-width apart.
    • Explain the importance of a slight bend in the knees and a relaxed upper body.
  • Practice:
    • Have players practice holding the bat with the correct grip.
    • Have players practice the correct stance in front of a mirror.

Variations

Practice different grip variations, such as the V grip or the claw grip.
Experiment with different stance widths and angles.
