Catching with One Hand

Learning Outcomes

Description Of Activity

Players pair up and practice catching with one hand, either from a throw or a bounce.
Initially, work on soft throws and increase the speed as players gain confidence.

Variations

Start with easier, slow-paced throws and gradually increase the difficulty.
Introduce catching the ball with the non-dominant hand.

Coaching Tips

Encourage players to keep the eyes focused on the ball, and reach with the nearest hand.
Remind players that if they drop the ball, they should quickly recover and try again.
