Description Of Activity

Mark a straight line on the floor with tape or use cones to create a path.
Children will side-step along the line, moving their feet one at a time while maintaining balance.
The challenge is to stay on the line and balance while moving sideways.

Variations

Have children side-step while balancing an object (such as a ball or beanbag).
Challenge them to do side steps while facing different directions or using the opposite foot.

Coaching Tips

Remind children to keep their arms out for better balance.
Encourage them to take controlled, slow steps to focus on maintaining stability.
