Balance and Flexibility Obstacle Course

Description Of Activity

  • Balance Walk: Children walk along a balance beam or taped line.
    • Steps: Walk heel-to-toe along the beam.
  • Stretch Tunnel: Crawl through a tunnel or under low barriers.
    • Steps: Focus on body flexibility while crawling through the space.
  • Jumping Jacks and Squats: Perform jumping jacks or squats in between the obstacles to maintain movement.
    • Steps: Perform 10 jumping jacks and 5 squats at the designated spot.

Variations

For younger children: Simplify obstacles or reduce the length of the course.
For older children: Add more challenging obstacles or increase the number of repetitions.

Coaching Tips

Focus on smooth transitions between obstacles.
Ensure children are mindful of their movements and maintain balance.
Encourage them to complete the course at their own pace.

Cones, balance beams, and mats.
