Description Of Activity

Start standing with feet hip-width apart.
Keep the knees slightly bent and hinge at the hips, keeping the back flat.
Bend forward, reaching the floor with hands or just lowering the head.
Hold for 5 seconds, return to standing.

Variations

Place a small object (like a ball) on the floor and have children reach for it to create a target.
Challenge older children to bend more deeply without bending their knees.

Coaching Tips

Focus on keeping the back flat rather than rounding the shoulders.
Encourage slow, controlled movements to build stability.
