Learning Outcomes

Children will improve hand-eye coordination and accuracy.
Children will practice aiming and throwing objects.

Description Of Activity

Children will take turns tossing rings (or hoops) over cones, bottles, or poles set up in a row. The objective is to aim accurately and get the ring onto the target.

Variations

Add more obstacles (e.g., cones, soft toys) between the child and the target to increase difficulty.
Set up a point system to track how many successful tosses each child makes.

Coaching Tips

Show children how to hold and throw the ring (focusing on a gentle, underhand toss).
Start with large, easy targets and move to smaller targets as the children improve.
Encourage children to take turns and cheer each other on.

Equipment/Material Required

Rings (or hoops), cones, bottles, or poles to act as targets.
