Activity
Improve catching control by imitating different actions.
Develop hand–eye coordination and quick reactions.
Enhance the ability to observe and follow object-based movements.
Build confidence in performing catching variations.
Arrange students in small groups of 46.
One student becomes the Catcher Leader and holds a soft ball or beanbag.
The Leader performs simple catching/ball-handling actions, such as:
Toss & catch
Clap once catch
Bounce catch
Toss high catch
Toss to side catch
Tap ball hand-to-hand
Group members must copy the Leaders movements exactly.
