Activity
Develops hand-eye coordination, improves timing and control, and encourages teamwork and focus.
Place 35 buckets at different distances (short, medium, long).
Mark a starting line where players must stand.
Each bucket can have a different point value (e.g., nearest = 1 point, farthest = 5 points).
Execution:
Players take turns tossing (or chipping with a plastic club) a soft ball into the buckets.
Each player gets 35 attempts per round.
Add up scores at the end of each round.
Continue for 34 rounds, rotating turns.
Scoring Example:
Bucket 1 (close) = 1 point.
Bucket 2 (medium) = 3 points.
Bucket 3 (far) = 5 points.
Players aim for higher points, but closer buckets are safer.
Beginner: Use larger buckets and closer distances.
Intermediate: Use smaller buckets or increase throwing/chipping distance.
Advanced: Make players aim in order (short → medium → far).
Relay Style: Teams compete; first team to reach a score (like 20 points) wins.
Golf Club Version: Instead of tossing, use a short plastic golf club to chip balls into buckets.
Remind players to aim before tossing (focus on the target).
For chipping: Teach feet shoulder-width apart, knees bent, small controlled swing.
Emphasize smooth motion, not power.
Encourage positive competition and celebrate accuracy, not just points.
"3–5 buckets (different sizes if possible).
