Activity
Develops close ball control using different parts of the foot.
Improves coordination, balance, and footwork.
Builds confidence in handling the ball while moving.
Enhances agility and ability to change direction with the ball.
Encourages focus, movement planning, and spatial awareness
Each student has one football.
Set up a 10m x 10m grid using cones.
Students dribble freely inside the grid using small, controlled touches.
On the teachers call, they perform ball-control actions such as:
Inside-inside touches (right/left)
Outside touches
Toe taps on top of the ball
Sole stop & push
Roll the ball using the sole
Pull back & turn
Students keep moving, avoiding others, maintaining control of the ball at all times.
Red Light, Green Light:
Green: dribble
Yellow: slow, controlled touches
Red: stop the ball under the sole
Dribble & Turn: Coach calls “Turn!” and students perform a quick 180° turn.
Number Call: Call a number (1–5) representing different ball control actions.
Gates Dribbling: Set up cone pairs as “gates”; students must dribble through as many as possible.
Weak Foot Only: Entire activity done with non-dominant foot.
Traffic Jam: Students avoid “cones” or zones inside the grid and dribble around them.
Encourage small, soft touches, not big kicks.
Keep head up often to avoid collisions.
Use both feet equally—don’t rely on strong foot only.
Teach students to stay on their toes, ready to change direction.
Praise correct control rather than speed.
Remind players to keep ball close to their feet.
