Description Of Activity

Students stand in front of a sturdy box or platform. They perform a quick downward squat and jump onto the box, landing softly with knees bent, then step back down.
 

Variations

Jump up and off continuously
Use lower or higher boxes
Add arm resistance bands

Coaching Tips

Ensure full extension of hips during jump
Land quietly with control
Do not use boxes too high for skill level
