On the teacher’s signal or when music starts, children gallop freely around the activity area.
Children keep the same lead foot while galloping.
On a signal such as “Freeze”, children stop and balance.
On a second signal, children change direction or change the lead foot and continue galloping.
The activity continues with regular stops and changes to reinforce control and rhythm.
