Students use a lollipop paddle to strike a soft ball (foam ball/balloon) either upward or forward. They practice keeping the ball in the air, hitting toward targets, or rallying with a partner.
How to Play:
Each student gets a lollipop paddle + soft ball/balloon.
First, practice tap-ups (keep ball in the air with gentle strikes).
Then practice tap-forwards (strike ball to a small target or cone gate).
Progress to partner rally: students stand 23 steps apart and tap the ball back and forth.Create a big goal and act as a goalkeeper so your child can attempt to score on you.
Balloon Rally – easier for beginners.
Target Strike – hit the ball into different colour zones.
Move & Strike – students dribble the ball (tap-up style) while walking.
Timed Challenge – how many successful tap-ups in 30 seconds?
Lollipop paddles (1 per student or per pair)
Soft foam balls or balloons
Cones / floor markers for targets
Small “goal gates” made from two cones
