Wall Accuracy Passing

Learning Outcomes

Pass the ball accurately toward marked targets on a wall.

Improve precision, consistency, and control in passing.

Develop better receiving technique and quick reaction time.

Maintain correct footwork and body positioning while passing.

Description Of Activity

Students attempt to pass the ball to specific targets marked on the wall.

Place tape, chalk, or cones as targets on the wall (low, mid, high spots).

Students stand 24 meters away with a ball.

On the signal, students pass the ball to hit the chosen target.

They control the rebound and prepare for the next pass.

Students repeat passes for 2030 seconds, aiming for accuracy, not speed.

Switch targets after each round.

This develops precision for football kicks, basketball passes, or handball throws.

Variations

1. Multi-Target Challenge

Teacher calls out “Top – Middle – Bottom” and students pass to that target.

2. Left–Right Switch

Use left and right foot/hand alternately for each pass.

3. Moving Accuracy Pass

Students take a step sideways between each pass and aim at different targets.

4. Long-Distance Passing

Increase the passing distance to challenge control.

5. Timed Accuracy Round

Count how many target hits students can achieve in 20 seconds.

6. Partner Target Calling

A partner randomly calls which target to aim for.

Coaching Tips

Keep eyes on the target, not the ball.

Use proper passing technique based on the sport (inside foot, chest pass, overhand throw).

Maintain balance and body alignment toward the target.

Receive rebounds softly with hands or feet.

Equipment/Material Required
