Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to appreciate the values of Struggle, Satisfaction, Joyfulness and Self Esteem in our daily lives.

Description Of Activity

How to Play:

1. Take children to play a game of Dodgeball which involves strategy and athletism. Divide the class into 2 groups.
2. One group of children is flock of birds. Other team represents the external environment / jungle.
3. Birds are inside a Circle which is a water body / river.External Environment Team will have to eliminate birds by throwing soft balls at them so that it hits the birds.
4. Birds have to save themselves.
5. The last 5 birds to survive are the survivers!
6. In round 2, swap the roles of birds and external environment / jungle.
7. At the end of the game, teacher can explain the Values of Struggle, Satisfaction, Joyfulness, Self Esteem

Dodgeball Rules can be changed to actual international format: 

Coaching Tips

Make the size of the circle as per the no. of students in each team (larger circles for more students and smaller circles for lesser no. of students) 

Equipment/Material Required

Chalk Powder for ground marking. In case chalk powder is not there, you can use markers or simple markings.
