To outline and illustrate the planets of the solar system in order to correctly identify them.
To identify the celestial bodies in solar system and know about their position in solar system.
Eight tracks or circles can be drawn on playground . These tracks will represent the path or orbits of solar system.
Students will stand in different tracks and will represent the planets of solar system. Tallest student in class can take place of largest planet and shortest students can take place of smallest planet. Some students can be made to stand between the students standing in tracks or circles of mars and jupitor planets. They will represent asteroids. the students acting or playing as asteroids can hold some paper ball and can show movement of meteors towads earth by throwind paper balls towards student playing as earth.
So students will have an understanding of positions and motion of planets in their respective orbits and position of asteroids in solar system and movement of meteors towads earth as shooting stars.
Tags with names of planets and celestial objects can be given to students playing roles to make the concept more clear.
Students can be guided to play safely and move properly in their respective circles or tracks and avoid hurting or clashing other students in different circles.
