Learning Outcomes

1.Student will be able to recall  various components of food.

2. Students will be able to explain role of various nutrients in our body.

3. Students will be able to describe effect of deficiency of any nutrients in our boy by corelating with bollyball.

4. Student will be able to learn collaboration, patience, analysis of situation , quick discision, making a strategy etc

Description Of Activity

1. Class will de devided into four groups. and one group will be asked to prepare a laminated chart on functions of various food components in our body and second will prepare another chart on deficiency diseases, rest two groups will be asked to make arrangements for volleyball match.

2. A demonstration match will be played under the guidance of PET by describing various player and their role in the match.

3. Students will play and watch the match and observe player that the player is playing its role well or not and which team is approaching toward its goal.

4. After completing the match the role of players of winner team will be explained by PET .

5.Winner and looser team will be awarded with the chart and the leaders will announce the function of nutrients in our body, need of balance of nutrients and about deficiency diseases.

6. Finally science teacher summerise the match and corelate the role of nutrients in our body with importance of role of player in the match to achieve their goal.

Variations

1. Players with team, duration may vary .

2. Another suitable sports activity may be choosen as per need of hour . e.g. Chess

3. Chart or video may be describe and corelate with match or sports activity.

4. Best player may be awarded with prize.

Coaching Tips

Video of Bolley ball match and importance of nuttrients in food can be displayed to the class for ready reference.

and explained by PET and science Teacher to the students.
