Description Of Activity
Playing Tag Activity
The instructor decides who is going to be "it/the tiger" while other students are the monkey, the dog, and other animals.
"The tiger" then chases the other animals, attempting to catch one of them (by touching them with a hand) as the others try to avoid being caught.
The caught player will be eliminated and the game continues till only one person is left with the tiger who is then considered as a winner.
King of the Jungle Activity
To play King of the Jungle you will need lots of animal beanbags. This is a tag game with no teams.
Each student will start the game with one animal in their hand. When the teacher yells King of the Jungle the children will run and try to pick up and hold as many animals as possible.
If a student gets tagged, that student must drop their animals on the floor and do 5 Jumping Jacks. Any of the other students can pick up the dropped animals.
After 5 Jumping Jacks have been completed that student can begin running and picking up more animals. When the teacher says freeze the students will stop and count their animals. The boy and girl with the most animals is the King and the Queen of the Jungle.
Variations
There are many variations to Tag; most forms have no teams, scores, or equipment.
