Description Of Activity
How to Play
This activity is to be performed in the evening in the playground or in the dark room.
Class is to be divided into small teams, each team comprises 3 members.
A rectangular shaped playground/room is to be chosen for the activity, For instance a playground is to be marked in white marker along the rectangular body.
1st participant should stand on one edge/corner of the rectangle holding a torch, the 2nd participant should stand on the opposite side of the rectangle facing the 1st participant holding a mirror in a still position, and both of these students position will be fixed and could not move from their respective positions.
3rd participant can move along the line on the marked rectangle where 1st participant is holding a torch in a still position.
Now as soon as the buzzer goes off, the 1st participant will switch on the torch and will try to focus its beam towards the mirror held by 2nd participant who is standing on the opposite side of the rectangle.
The 3rd participant has to come in line with the reflected beam of the light as quickly as possible. Once he comes in line with the beam of light, the third participants has to perform the given activity (20 skipping) and the time will be noted down right from the buzzer has gone off. In this way first 3 winners will be decided.
Class Room learning:
In this whole activity following observations will be made:-
The 3rd participant is equidistant from the 2nd participant as is the 1st participant.
The angle between the incident ray and reflected ray will be same.
Mirror reflects light in opposite direction.
Variations
