The Indian Constitution ,The Need of It.

Description Of Activity

How to play 

 1. Divide a class into 2 groups comprising unequal numbers. In one group 15 students and another group 25 students .They will be taken to the Play ground with sports equipments of two games, Say Football/Basketball and Cricket. They will be asked to choose to play a single game. If majority chooses Cricket then enable them to understand that minority is also having a say/voice/opinion  in a democracy and which must be respected  and likely divide time to play the  two games one after the other  so that consensus would  be achieved.

Deduction:– To enable students to understand the relevance of Law to check the whims and whips of the majority.

Sports Activity -Divide the class into two teams. Start a football match. One group will play abiding by the rules of the game and another group will play as per their sweet will. Appoint 10 students to observe the deviations of the free will players group. After the match assemble all the students and make them to understand regarding Constitutive rules for a game and problems of deviations in observing the rules there of.

2-Deduction:-students will automatically understand the need of constitutive rule in all the spheres of human life..

Sports Activity 3-Students would be taken to the field to play the game of Kho-Kho. The student to whom the lot of call would be made, he would supposed to speak at least one feature of the constitution of India for which all the students could have been prepared beforehand in the guidance of the teacher. One after the other students would speak on so that each point will be revealed before all.

Deduction:-The features of the constitution will be taught with ease and be internalised .

 

Variations

Taking to the conditions of the learning environment, the type of games may be altered by the teacher -moderator.

 

Coaching Tips

The teacher should create situation to get the content of the topic unfolded itself through the game activities so that the points of teaching be successfully internalised by the students.
