Learning Outcomes

By  this activity studends can learn plot the points on the graph.

Students learn the method of ploting the pionts on the graph.

Description Of Activity

Teacher asks the students to play a game in the ground.

Drawn the horizontal line and vartical line teacher stands at the intersecting point of both the lines

Teacher is standing towards North direction.

Teacher ask the students to stand on the horizontal and vartical lines with one meter distance between them.

Drawn parallel lines in the North - South direction with one meter distance between parallel lines.

Drawn parallel lines in the East - West direction with one meter distance between parallel lines.

The line on the right side of the teacher is the X - axis with positive numbers.

The line on the left side of the teacher is the X' - axis with nagetive numbers.

The line on the front side the teacher is the Y - axis with positive numbers.

The line on the back side the teacher is the Y' - axis with nagetive numbers.

These two lines divided the ground in the four quadrants .

The area covered  by East - North direction,  North - West direction, West - South direction and South - East direction is  called Ist, IInd, IIIrd, and IVth quadrant respectively.

The teacher select one student on the X - axis and asked to him by jumping move 4 meters towards North direction.

After reaching the point the student identify the student on thr Y - axis just opposite to him and call that boy to his position by jumping.

Both the boys meeting at a point the co-ordinates of that point is (x,y).

One of the two boys tell the quadrant of the point. like (4, 4) or (4,5) ...

Similarly can identity the other points also.

Thecher is moving towards East direction 4 meters and meet one student.

That point is (4,0)

Similarly the teacher moves other direction than can identify the co-ordinates on the axises

By this activity these students come to know that how to plot the points on the graph sheet or Cartesian co-ordinate system. 

    

Variations

Variation may be brought in by changing the students.

Learning polt the points on the graph by physical activities.
