Students start at the centre of the court in ready position.
Teacher calls movements:
Side shuffle to left/right
Forward sprint to net & backpedal
Diagonal movement to corners
Split-step then move to a direction
Students move while maintaining tennis posture (knees bent, light on toes).
Repeat multiple patterns to improve tennis footwork.
Cone pattern drill (zig-zag, T-drill, L-drill)
Racquet in hand while moving
Reaction drill: Move after teacher points to a direction
Shadow tennis: Add forehand/backhand swings at each cone
Timed challenges for speed and accuracy
Emphasize the importance of staying low and balanced.
Encourage students to use quick, explosive movements.
Provide specific feedback on their footwork technique.
