Activity
1) Students will be able to understand relationship of cube number and it's cube root.
2) Students will be able to find cube root by prime factorisation.
3) Students will be able to connect this topic to their daily life and solved the arising questions.
1) Draw a circle in playground and divided it into 12 equal parts.
2) write cubic no. like as (cube root of 1) , (cube root of 8), (cube root of 27), (cube root of 64), (cube root of 125), (cube root of 216), (cube root of 343), (cube root of 512), (cube root of 729), (cube root of 1000), ( cube root of 1331), (cube root of 1728) in every part of the circle .
3) Fix a wooden strip whose shape like as arrow (➡) on the center of the circle with help of nail. 4) Now class divided into 12 group. 5) 5)one student of every group come and rounding the wooden strip.
6) where this arrow(➡) stop, remaining students note that cubic no. and find the cube root of that no. by prime factorisation.
7) After get cube root of that no., it is written in the circle below that cubic no.
8) This procedure continue for every group.
9) Which group take minimum time, they will win the game.
Students also learn about to use a visual understanding to make connection to volume as application of cube and cube root.
