Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to understand the factors affecting the distribution population of the world and its impact globally and their contribution to the national economy by different ages groups.

 

Description Of Activity

In a track and field playground, a rainbow in a semi-circle shape is drawn indicating/ defining the population change of the world from the inner core to the outermost layer, signifying the growth of the population of the world. Further we mat arrange the different growth stages along with the years from the textbook. We may represent the different pattern of growth of population by number of students. Teacher may organize by giving road map/ idea of the game to the students.

In another activity we may arrange a flag shape of India in rectangular diagram dividing into three equal parts by drawing parallel lines. Further we may arrange different numbers of students like – 0-13 years, 14- 60 years and 60-above. The representation of the activity may be shown by putting the assign number of students in the particular pattern of the flag.

Variations

Similar activity can be done to show the sex ratio of India and population pyramid.

Coaching Tips

PE teachers and subject teacher will co-operate each other and will try the students to make them understand the concept of the lessons through different activities.
