Learning Outcomes

1. To be able to know that in markets opportunities are highly unequal.
2. To learn that co-operative marketing which can provide a better return to the producers.

 

Description Of Activity

How to play

1. Whole class will be divided in to 2groups of 20 members.
2. Inner circle players will be representing poor farmers.
3. Outer circle players will be representing rich merchants.
4. First round will be played with equal numbers of players but more point will be given to outer circle players.
5. Second round will be played with more members in inner circle with same points as in first round.
6. In first round outer players will be winners and second round inner players will be winners.
7. Teacher can relate this with the topic

Variations

Students can play a third round with equal players and equal points.

Coaching Tips

Teacher can use various examples to make students understand the concept. Students may be labelled as farmers and merchants with chart papers
