Description Of Activity

 

 

 

 

 

The story should be elaborated in such a way that it is interestingly correlated with Basketball. (Hockey instead of Nintendo { played on cell phone }). 

To draw a Basketball court on drawing notebook with accurate measurements , using pi and Pythagoras Theorem .

Then doing the same on the field under the guidance of facilitators forming 4 groups of the class.

Each group will do the markings of their assigned areas. All four groups will learn the basics of Basketball through lead up activities. The 1st two groups are to play the match , the 3rd group is to officiate and the 4th one is to volunteer. Then on the next day the groups rotate their tasks to make the game more interesting and so on.

 

 

 

 

Variations

Basketball may be replaced with Hockey depending upon the availability of infrastructure.

Coaching Tips

Coordinative ability and development of physical potentials should be focused more .

Teamwork should be promoted.
