Learning Outcomes

Student will be able to

-Understand the feature of two desert region- The Sahara desert of Africa and Ladakh of India.

- Familiarize the desert region with illustration.

- Understand and analyze how these regions are the same and different from each other in different persceptives.

Description Of Activity

- Children will stand in the field in the shape of map of Africa

- They will be wearing t-shirts with name of countries on it.

- all the countries surrounding and containg Sahara desert will be written on the t-shirts.

- Children will be able to remember the names of countries.

Hide and Seek.

Coaching Tips

Students will stand in form of Sahara Desert.

Name and pictures cards wil be put on students so they will remember the important flora and fauna and minerals found in desert.

Equipment/Material Required

- Ball

- Name slip with name of following countries on them: Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Sudan, Tunisia And Western Sahara. ( Cards will be put on the Shirt).

- Picture cards of following: Date plums, Hyenas, Jackels, Camels, Scorpions, Lizards, Snake, Foxes, Rice, Wheat, Oil, Iron, Maganese, Phosphorus.( Cards will be made by students)
