Activity
1. Differentiate between the pollination and fertilization process.
2. The concept of development of fruit and which are the part of flower that turn in fruit.
3. The idea of dispersal of seeds takes place in nature.
4. Different mechanism involve in the dispersal of different seeds species.
5. Inflatation and deflatation of chest cavity.
6. Human pyramid making with role play activity.
1. The students were divided into groups as per the strength of class.
2. Pairing of groups should be done to moniter each other during the activity and record the results.
3. The students were ask to blow the madar hairy seeds by keeping their mouth to the level of desk with full force by forceful exhalation.
4. The group members of other group will record the distance to which the seeds were blown by member and after which the second group will do the activity and first will record the result. And finally the average of each group will be calculated and then accordingly positions can be awarded in class.
5. The above activity can be repeated with other type of seeds and observations can be recorded same way.
6. This will bring them to the note that different types of seeds have different dispersal mechanism.
1. The students can be taken to the field and asked to collect the seeds of different plants and bring to the class.
2. In the class they will find out by blowing activity which seeds are dispersed by air.
3. Students can be asked to draw the diagram of seed collected and identify them with help of google lense.
4. Role play can also be carried out with the involvement of students to depict the process of seed formation.
1. Students can be asked to make the spin wheel puzzel having names of seed and dipersal mechanism with agent of dispersal to display in class.
2. Role play method can be more effectively apply if human pyramid made to show the process of pollination, seed and fruit formation with additional cardboard can be used to make it more real and dramatize.
3. Model making can be given for their home work or class activity.
seeds collected from field, chair table available in classroom, cardboard, colours, measuring tape or meter rod etc ( used by groups in doing the activity).
